Some days you are the windshield, some days you are the bug, I think I got squashed.

I think I got Squashed today. I hoped to find true love in Loveland, but that has yet to pan out.

Before the race we went to First Watch for breakfast, well actually it was a late lunch by the time we got our ducks in row. Everyone else bought their lunch, apparently I rented mine because it got returned somewhere around lap 10 of the crit, I cant even remember the last time I harfed in a race, suck.

The Night before the Race we made a little road trip to Cincy, we were hosted by our good friend from Miami Mandy Mo, Not only did she show us a good time and let us stay at her sweet house (look for it on Cribs next season) she had the coolest dog ever, I tried to kidnap her but a golden retriever does not fit very discreetly in a backpack. Thanks Mandy.

At the race I had the loudest cheering section, so I had that going for me which was nice because apparently I was race like a novice, I don’t think I weighted enough to actually hold in the turns, everyone was sliding, but I couldn’t even hold their wheels, suck.

Though day, thanks again to my support club, at least I’m working with proper criminals

One last thing, as im writing this over my breakfast, I just ate a brownie my housmate brought home from a picnic this weekend, it tasted a little tangy until the last bite, which apparently is where all off the coffee liquor settled, that it must have been made with, guess I am not driving anywhere for a while, and its not even noon, gross

It was raining, the field split. Gamm and I made the break group, it rained some more.

Texas road house made up at least 6 guys in the breakaway group.

There were a handful of people that came up to me before the race and said "your only goal today is not to crash"........ha, little did they know that rain is fun and I've never crashed in a rainy crit.

That gamm kid is an animal...........unbelievable!

Anyways Congrats to the all the Savage Hill people who participated in the 3n24 races, they were tons of fun to watch and I felt like we were well represented...I just want to let you guys know I'm proud of you. (tear) Alright, until the Groveport time trial.

Not content to quit while I was ahead I decided to try to stretch my luck today and got thumped. In short I got knocked out of the lead group after the first 3 laps and spent the rest of the race soldiering on alone (special thanks to corner marshall who fetched the waterbottle I dropped and handed it back to me, and the general encouragement they provided in general). One rider broke away and lapped me on the last third of his last lap ('and here comes Savage Hill to take second place!' sez the announcer. Uh, sadly no..a few frantic gestures on my part quickly corrected the gaff...). And then to top it off there was a chase group behind me the whole time that I wasn't aware of that caught me the same place on -my- last lap. Since I was thoroughly cooked over at this point I could do little more than to jump on their tail and wheeze it on in for the finish.

Masters 50+:
We had a field of 15 riders. Four of us dropped the entire field by lap 3. Then it was down to three of us by lap 6. I think we lapped the entire field. Came down to a field sprint and took it for a 50$ Kroger gift card. I'm going to eat well this week! But my hat goes off to Ron (Cat 1-Team Dayton) and Tye (Cycle Sport) for doing the majority of the work.

Cat 3:
After doing the 50+, I was ready to race. It seems to help me a lot doing a pre-race before another event. I felt strong and my legs were spinning well. I stayed near the front during the entire race. However, lady luck wasn't on my side and it started raining half way into the race. I decided to do a DNF to avoid crashing. Lots of man hole covers in several turns.
